Meet Emmett, a fifth grader at Grandview Elementary.
Emmett has been having a wonderful school year as he is getting closer to moving up to middle school. He says that his favorite thing about going to Grandview is "the education." He thinks that he is taught well, especially in his favorite subject: math.
In math he thinks that it is "fun to do fractions, decimals, and other things like that." This is his second year learning about fractions and decimals, and he feels that he is getting really good at it as the year goes on.
Outside of school, Emmett loves to "play with his friends and play baseball." He is very excited about the prospect of playing more baseball when he moves up to middle school.
As a piece of advice to fourth graders who will be in fifth grade next year he says to "pay attention. If you pay attention, you will get to learn a lot of things."
Emmett is very excited about being a middle schooler next year, and he is looking forward to "learning new subjects and making new friends."
