Mentoring Plus is a great local resource that looks to generate positive outcomes by guiding kids, strengthening communities, and supporting families. Here are some of the programs they offer (all of which include working with a case manager):
Pre employment training services for individuals 14-21 w/documentation of a disability
Main track for individuals 13-16 Weekly Mon and Tues from 5:30pm-8:00pm (one is boys night and one is girls night). Includes mentorship, life skills, leadership skills, dedicated homework time, working with life coaches, and then free time (the time is very structured)
Independent track for individuals 16 - 21 Similar to the main track but less structured. Focused on mentorship, independent goals and life skills. Weekly on Thursdays from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM.
More information can be found on their website at https://mentoringplus.org/ You can also refer your child through the website if you’re interested or reach out to Mrs. Carr for referrals or any questions.

The research is clear! Social emotional learning springboards students toward higher achievement and lifelong success. This #SELWeek, join us in showing support for #SEL and its lifelong impact on young people. #SELDay #SkillsforSuccess #ReadyfortheFuture
