📢 Attention 10th-Grade Families! 📢
The 10th-Grade ACT has been rescheduled and will now take place on April 15 & 16. Please mark your calendars and ensure your student is prepared for this important assessment.
✅ Why is this important? The ACT helps students gauge their academic progress and opens doors for future opportunities.
✅ How can students prepare? Free ACT practice tests are available online to help students get familiar with the test format and build confidence. BMHS is also hosting FLEX sessions geared towards prepping for the ACT.
✅ What can you do? Encourage your student to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive on time!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Staci Paff (Building Assessment Coordinator) or Tiffany Hicks (District Assessment Coordinator). Thank you for your support! 💛🖤 #LoveTheVue #TigerPRIDE

Last week in Cooking Club our students learned how to make pasta from scratch!
Each student made their own pasta, cooked it, and was able to choose from several toppings including different sauces, meatballs, and cheese. It was a big hit!
This week will be the final week and they be making a dessert!
We can't wait to see what they cook up next!

🚭✨ Today we’re taking a stand against Big Tobacco for National Take Down Tobacco Day! Let’s unite for a tobacco-free future! Did you know Bellevue has a smoke-free ordinance that prohibits smoking, including e-cigarettes, in all enclosed areas of public places and workplaces? Effective May 15, 2023, this includes places where the public is invited or permitted, such as offices, hotels, factories, churches, bars, restaurants, bingo halls, bowling alleys, and stores. The ordinance aims to reduce tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke.
What does a tobacco-free future mean to you? Let us know! 💬

We are so grateful for our amazing educators who opened their classrooms for our Internal Learning Labs this week! These labs are powerful opportunities for teachers to learn, collaborate, and grow together—all with the goal of optimizing student learning across all grade levels at BISD.
So, what exactly are Internal Learning Labs? They’re a chance for educators to:
✅ Learn by observing high-quality teaching in action.
✅ Act through meaningful discussions on strategies and student engagement.
✅ Build a strong community of practice to support one another.
✅ Synthesize key takeaways and set personal goals to enhance instruction.
A HUGE shoutout to our incredible lab hosts for welcoming us into their classrooms and leading the way in professional learning! Thank you to Mr. Hallman, Ms. Weyer, Mr. Sary, Ms. Dougherty, Ms. Winkler, and Ms Lance.
Your willingness to share your classrooms makes a huge impact on teaching and learning across our district. Thank you to all of our teachers for participating in a fantastic week! Thank you for your dedication to excellence!
