Algebra II students created grid art using at least four different parent functions to graph an image using Desmos (online graphing calculator).
They studied parent functions (linear, absolute value, quadratic, cubic, exponential, square root) and learned about transformations of the graphs!
Students used what they learned about parent functions and transformations to create the images.


Attention future sophomores of 2025-26 school year!
If you are interested in dual credit classes at Gateway, here is what you need to know:
• Deadline to apply is March 15th. Pick up an application from Mr. Pelgen.
• Sophomore students must have a 3.5 GPA.
• You must take an ACT exam and hit at least one of the following benchmarks. Visit act.org to register.
o English - 18
o Math - 19
o Reading - 20
• ACT scores must be reported to the school before the start of the 25-26 school year.
• Bellevue families are responsible to pay the discounted dual credit tuition rate during the sophomore year.

High School Art Students created collages using magazines! They looked at Megan Coyle's collage artwork, practiced it, and learned about her as an artist. Some students found their own technique while others mimicked Coyle's style!

Due to the predicted weather forecast, all Bellevue Independent Schools will operate on an NTI Day schedule on Friday, January 10th. The school campus is also closed for the day. For BMHS this means the following:
Due to the campus being closed, breakfast and lunch will not be available.
All class sessions will take place via Google Meet following the schedules listed below.
Bellevue Middle School NTI Schedule - Classes begin at 9:15 AM (All classes will be via Google Meet)
1st - 9:15 - 10:00
2nd - 10:15 - 11:00
3rd - 11:15 - 12:00
4th - 1:15 - 2:00
5th - 2:15 - 3:00
Bellevue High School NTI Schedule - Classes begin at 9:15 AM (All classes will be via Google Meet)
1st - 9:15 - 10:00
2nd - 10:15 - 11:00
Office Hours - 11:15 - 12:00

1st bell classes for both Middle School and High School begin at 9:15 AM.
Like our earlier NTI days, students are REQUIRED to attend all Google Meet sessions for attendance purposes.
The Google Meet for each class period will be posted in the class stream 5 minutes before the class is due to start.
All evening activities for Friday, January 10th are cancelled.

Our Flat Rangers made it back to Kentucky!
Thank you to the National Park Service Rangers and volunteers for enthusiastically sharing information about their individual parks.
We appreciate them taking the time to photograph our Flat Rangers enjoying their National Park system. It has provided an excellent opportunity for our students in the first semester to learn why it is important to explore, preserve, and protect these national treasures.
