Today’s Arts in Mind video features Jay Goodlett, a dance teacher at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati. Mr. Goodlett received a full scholarship to the School of American Ballet in New York City. Upon graduation, he returned to Cincinnati to join the Cincinnati Ballet, where he danced for 14 years.

Staff at BMHS had fun with their CROCK-TOBER cookoff today! We had several entries and lots of deliciousness from dips to caramel apple cobblers, sauerkraut dip, soups, and more! But, there can only be one winner! Congrats to Mrs. McDonald as she is the CROCKTOBER winner, of the Golden Spoon! She won a year’s supply of Nothing Bundt Cake with her award winning recipe of potato soup (her Mom's recipe)! Second Runner Up - Ms. King with Monkey Bread! 3rd Runner Up - Ms. Brun with Caramel Apple Dump Cake! Both Runner Ups won Chick-fil-A gift cards! #LoveTheVue #TigerPride

October is National Arts and Humanities Month! To celebrate, this week Bellevue Independent Schools will be sharing videos from Arts in Mind as part of our participation in the Northern Kentucky Institute for Arts Education!

Each day, families can watch an interview with a professional artist who will share their passions for visual art, theatre, dance, and music. The guest artists will share their experience, advice, and encouragement with students.

This week was the Scholastic Book Fair at Grandview Elementary!

Students got to check out many different books and took home their favorites.

Thank you to the Bellevue Education Foundation for their "Share the Fair" initiative which provided students with a free book voucher to ensure every student was going home with a new book!
