ATTENTION BELLEVUE FAMILIES! Please read below for a message about the upcoming school year:

When students return to school on August 13th, Bellevue Independent will comply with KRS 158.175, which requires a moment of silence or reflection in all schools. This moment will take place at the beginning of the school day, each day.

According to the statute:

1. The moment of silence or reflection shall be at least one minute but not more than two minutes.
2. Students are to remain seated and silent and make no distractions so that each student may meditate, pray, or engage in other silent activities which does not interfere or impede with other students' exercise of individual choice. Students who are disruptive during this time will face consequences for their actions.
3. School personnel will not provide instruction to any student regarding the nature of their silent reflection.

Before the start of school, please talk with your child about this change so they will understand the expectations and be prepared to use this time in a way that provides a beneficial start to their school day.

ATTENTION BELLEVUE GIRLS SOCCER!

Tonight's (7/30) practice has been canceled due to the weather.

Today, our incoming Sixth Grade students had their orientation.

Students met their teachers, got their lockers and learned how to use the locks, toured the school and their new classrooms, and got to meet their classmates.

We can't wait to get the year started!
