Today, students had a blast during their math centers!
Ms. Pitzer's Second Graders practiced counting, identifying coins, and learned how to make amounts using the fewest coins possible.
They also got a chance to explore the US Mint and learn how our money is made.
Hands-on learning made counting money fun and engaging!

Yesterday in the Library, Grandview Elementary Third Graders read a classic, "The Tortoise and the Hare," checked out new books, and then coded with Scratch Jr.
Students picked their own animals and made them race just like the tortoise and the hare!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀
Kindergarteners came back to their room and found out that a Leprechaun had visited and had a party, leaving treats behind!

Mark your calendars for the Grandview Elementary Summer Program!
June 2nd - June 27th
More information to come!

Smile Club members have worked diligently since the end of January to write, rehearse, and film campaign videos with Campbell County Drug-Free Alliance. They volunteered their time after school yesterday to record PSA videos about the importance of lockboxes and Deterra bags. Lockboxes are used to store any type of medication or items that could be harmful to others. They are used to keep children, pets, elderly family members, and safer from ingesting medication that is not theirs. A Deterra bag is used to deactivate and destroy extra medication. This not only keeps everyone safe from extra medication, but it is safer for the environment.
If you or someone you know is in need of a lockbox and/or a Deterra bag, please reach out to Ms. Sharp or Ms. Queen. Lockboxes and Deterra bags are also available from the Campbell County Drug-Free Alliance. These resources are available to the public for free and contact information is below.
